Rings of Power

I just don't get it. I don't understand how this show even made it to production with this story. I don't understand how no one stopped to look at these characters and not realize they just don't fit in this world. The story doesn't fit. It seems lifted from poorly-written fan fiction. 

If Jackson's sin was too much action, I'm glad JRR and Christopher were not alive for this abomination - I don't think there is any redemption for these sins
